Miss District of Columbia USA 2024 is Kleo Torres (She/ Her/ Hers). She was crowned on June 29, 2024 at Woolly Mammoth Theatre in northwest Washington DC and represented the District of Columbia at the 2024 Miss USA Pageant in Hollywood, California where she placed as a Top 20 Semifinalist.
Kleo Torres believes in owning her story and writing her own ending. Her personal motto is “it’s not where you start; it’s where you finish.” As a child of incarcerated parents, she advocates for children of families separated by the U.S. criminal justice system. Kleo turned her pain into purpose and founded the nonprofit organization “Youth of Incarcerated Parents United” to create a safe space for others impacted by parental incarceration.
Kleo received her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University where she received the NCAA Division 1 track and field full scholarship and she has a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a specialty in public sector policy from American University. She mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and credits her diverse Cuban, Puerto Rican, and African American heritage in helping her connect with people from different walks of life.
Kleo works as a model and brand influencer and has collaborated with brands YSL Beauty, Boohoo, and GOLI Nutrition.
