Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2024 is Chelsea Chambers (She/Her/Hers). She was crowned on June 29, 2024 at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre in northwest Washington DC and represented the District of Columbia at the 2024 Miss Teen USA Pageant in Hollywood, California where she placed as a Top 20 Semifinalist.
Chelsea is a sophomore at Howard University where she is on the Dean’s List and pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. Her life ambition is to become an Emmy-award winning sports journalist and she hopes to create a mentorship program for aspiring young journalists. Chelsea showcases successful women via her #BroadcastHER Initiative, which highlights inspirational women who have achieved success in their respective career industries to inspire and uplift young girls across the DC area. Her motto is, "Once a door is open for you, hold it open for the next person."
In her spare time, Chelsea plays tennis, sings, and has been dancing for 17 years. She loves to give back to her community and has volunteered with Race for Every Child, Ronald McDonald House, Happy Helpers for the Homeless, and Sasha Bruce House. In her role as Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2024, Chelsea feels her generation struggles with cyberbullying and is passionate about mentoring young women and teaching them to believe in themselves and their ability to excel in the future.
